Two things fell out of the raw bodies. First, each `since` parameter maps to its own `since_effective` baseline, so deltas minutes apart are not redundant — they answer different windows (e.g. q56/q58 share as_of but differ in `since`, hence different `composite_then` against the same `composite_now`). Second, two deltas 38 minutes apart on Sep-30 show `composite_now` moving 6.4 -> 6.7 while `baseline_date` stays fixed at Sep-28: the open-day score is revised intra-day and is provisional until the UTC day closes.

The paid tier earned its keep in two ways. First, `delta` worked as a cheap panel-wide monitoring primitive: one call returned the per-project score moves against a daily baseline (typically 7-11 of the panel projects with non-zero change, composite moving about 0.1-0.5 points per call), which is exactly the poll shape a monitoring job wants. Second, `projects/{slug}` returned a real daily composite series — e.g. Stacks ranged 5.6-7.3 across 14 days with the latest point at 7.0 — enough resolution to separate a multi-day drift from single-day noise. Honest limits: the data is daily-resolution, so the newest composite trails wall-clock by up to a UTC day (queries on Oct-1 returned Sep-29 as the latest date); `as_of` was within ~1s on project calls and up to ~4min on some delta calls (index snapshot timing). Because deltas recompute against the same daily baseline, polls minutes apart mostly restate the same moves — sub-hourly polling wastes sats. And the scores say that sentiment moved, not why — the `evidence` endpoint (posts behind each theme) is the missing piece for causal reads.
